ABOUT ME
Hello there! My name is Shelby Mineweaser and I have Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I am a mental health advocate and have been studying disorders for seven years now but my interest in the field of Psychology started in middle school. In 2020, I created Incomparable Minds to spread awareness, educate, and raise money to help children and adults get the treatment they need. I’ve had the pleasure of working in childcare for the past several years, but am now focused on getting my Doctorate. I'm a licensed Peer Support Specialist and a Suicide Prevention Trainer. I have also had the pleasure of working with NAMI and Mental Health America to get certifications in Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid.​

As someone who has struggled with mental health for about 15 years now, it's an understatement to say no one is ever prepared for the things their illness throws at them. We’re all human and our ability to deal with certain situations on our own becomes limited. Eventually, there comes a point where outside help is crucial in order to survive. In this case, it’s therapists, psychiatrists and medications, DBT or CBT, and the list goes on. Treatment isn’t a ‘quick and easy fix'. It’s trial and error and can get expensive, not to mention exhausting. Insurance, if any at all, can only cover so much. By combining my love for the arts with my passion for helping people, together we can make a difference in the lives of people who need it the most.
